Recently, I self-published my first book, A Freelancer’s Tale. And although it was a bit of a time-consuming process, I’m now a bit addicted to it. So, my writing goals for 2022 are going to include more publications.
Continuing with the self-publishing project to end 2021, I decided to get the paperback set up through KDP. And as I suspected, it was a bit of a chore. Yet, it’s finally done and live on Amazon.
Earlier today, I finally submitted my first eBook for publishing on Amazon’s KDP platform. And although I am quite excited, I’m also a bit apprehensive. It’s a big step towards getting where I want to be.
After writing for the past three days for NaNoWriMo, things are going amazingly smoothly. Although I still have a long way to go as I plan on turning this into an actual full-length novel, I can say I’m quite inspired.
I just read a blog post by my good friend, Chris Desatoff. He was explaining how you don’t have to be a perfectionist to see progress for certain achievements. And this is something I try to spread to anyone who watches my videos or reads my blogs.
With it being November 1st, I am throwing my lot in for my first run with NaNoWriMo in 2021. And although I am currently working on publishing my first eBook, I am overly excited to work on this new novel. In fact, I kind of want to just keep writing.
One of the things that piqued my interest in Vocal Media was the fact that they often put out writing challenges for cash prizes. Though, most of these challenges are for subscribed members, of which I am not one. But the Vocal+ Fiction Awards might be worth giving it a try.
I believe that nothing is truly a failure as long as you learn from the experience. Then, it merely becomes part of life’s lessons that you learn to help you in future situations. However, sometimes these circumstances can be excruciatingly difficult.
I figured I would provide a bit of an update on my little experiment of writing 90 blog posts in 30 days. Yes, there have been a few days when I wanted to be done and was ready to give up. But, I then thought about the bragging rights this will give me. After 7 days of blogging, things are looking up.
