This month hasn’t been too bad in terms of productivity. Unfortunately, most of the things I worked on this month didn’t have writing involved. So, the word count was kind of low. But, it was one of my more productive months in terms of time.
Since I enjoyed the last blogging experiment, I’ve decided to do another. But this time, I’m going to see how much of an impact consistent blogging makes in terms of traffic growth and average search result position. This means I need to hunker down quite a bit.
So, today marks the last day of blogging for a month. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to commit, but I pushed through. And it’s been an incredibly helpful experience for me. And I’m not just talking from a marketing perspective.
Over the years of being a writer, I’ve come across a myriad of blogging tools. Some were really cool, until the developer stopped supporting them. However, I have come across a lot of awesome free tools that have proven longevity.
When you break it down, there are two major ways to connect to an audience: text and visuals. For many, this involves deciding between blogging and YouTube. What brings in the better and more engaged audience?
Technically, every blog I own has a YouTube channel except for this and the newer experimental site. But, I don’t really put a lot of effort into using YouTube outside of WriterSanctuary. However, I still view it as a great tool for growing an audience.
It’s been a week of my 30-day blogging challenge, and it’s been going well. While there have been a couple days when I wasn’t sure what to write about, this week of blogging has actually been beneficial. Though, I should be working on my novel.
